The difference between power adapter and LED driver?

LED drive according to the output type is DC output type, divided into constant voltage and constant current two, mostly constant current drive; whether it can drive LED lights, mainly depends on whether the output voltage and current are within the LED bearing range. The power adapter is a regulated power supply, and the LED driver is a constant current power supply.

The power adapter contains LED drivers, and the LED drivers are power adapters, which is their relationship.

What is the difference between "power" and "drive power" for LED lights?

The so-called power supply refers to the source of power supply. The meter can be used to measure the output voltage. The so-called driver is a power conversion circuit that converts a fixed form of power into different voltages or/and different forms (referred to as AC or DC). Another type of power supply is used by appliances that supply specific power requirements, so the drive itself becomes a power source when it is connected to the power supply.

LED, the abbreviation of English light emittingdiode, also known as LED. Its basic structure is an electroluminescent semiconductor material, a solid-state semiconductor device that directly converts electricity into light. It is placed on a leaded shelf and then sealed with epoxy resin to protect the inner core wire. Therefore, the LED has good seismic performance. The heart of the LED is a semiconductor wafer with one end attached to a holder, one end being the negative pole and the other end connected to the positive pole of the power supply, so that the entire wafer is encapsulated by epoxy.

What kind of power supply is used for LED lights?

Choosing a constant current drive is sensible. At present, there are many low-end products on the market that use the backward resistance-capacitor buck drive, resulting in two fatal defects, one is frothing, the other is LED breakdown, the bulb is easy to break, and the eyes are not good. Some responsible manufacturers will choose "constant current drive" as the power supply for LED lights, relatively speaking, the above problems will not occur.
